Very good

Casedrops is a fantastic option for anyone looking to explore delicious wines without breaking the bank. The pricing is genuinely competitive, and the whole experience makes it easy to discover new bottles you might not have considered otherwise. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just starting to explore what’s out there, the platform offers a straightforward and enjoyable way to browse and buy. A solid four stars from me — I’d happily recommend it to friends and family looking for good value and great taste.

Winedrops is a fantastic find for anyone looking to discover hidden gem wines at genuinely competitive prices. Their selection includes some real sleeper wines — bottles that punch well above their price point and that you simply wouldn’t stumble across at your average retailer. The pricing across the range is refreshingly fair, making it easy to explore without feeling like you’re taking a risk on your wallet. It’s the kind of company that rewards a bit of curiosity, and I’ve come away impressed with what I’ve found. Well worth exploring if you’re looking to broaden your cellar without breaking the bank.

Good but not as great as the hype

Does not compare to Caymus or Silver Oak as advertised but has a nice light and smooth taste.

Smooth not acidic. Really liked it for the price. Went to order more and unfortunately price jumped by $11 from my first purchase.

My introduction to Winedrops didn’t go entirely smoothly — I ran into a few issues right from the start. However, the team stepped in promptly and handled everything with care and professionalism. What could have been a frustrating experience was turned around completely, leaving me genuinely impressed. I’m delighted with the purchases I’ve made and, perhaps more importantly, with the way Winedrops manages any problems that arise. It says a lot about a company when they handle difficulties with such attentiveness and goodwill. Thank you to the whole team — I’ll certainly be back.

I purchased one of their special offers, though in hindsight the deal wasn’t quite as impressive as advertised — the same wine was available elsewhere for a similar price. That said, I do think it’s a decent bottle and I’m looking forward to drinking it. My main frustration was with the subscription model. You’re automatically enrolled when you purchase, and finding out how to cancel is far from straightforward. It took me several attempts over two days of back-and-forth emails before I finally managed to cancel successfully. Once I provided proof of cancellation via email, they did refund the £69 charge promptly, which I appreciated. The wine itself may well be worth it, but the cancellation process really needs to be made simpler and more transparent. If you do sign up, just be persistent — you’ll get there in the end.

Decent not great

Columbia’s a deeper heavy late plate of coffee, peat, stone flavors. Young & likely better with decanting

Was amazing for the price. This was a little sweet/fruity at first, but we paired it with a marinated flank steak and it transformed into a bold cab… even the initial taste was great… but even better with red meat.

I feel compelled to correct a poor earlier review I gave. After purchasing some wine which they said was a great deal ( actually not a great deal because you can buy it for nearly the same price elsewhere) I wanted to cancel my subscription and it was very difficult to figure out how and to make the cancellation request go through. Finally I did. I then saw I was billed for the subscription. When I contacted them they said they had no record of my cancellation but ultimately I found it in my email and sent them a copy. At that point they canceled my subscription. So I’m very happy about that. They should make it easier to cancel when the customer chooses to. I don’t doubt they have good wines, but maybe you’re not getting a great price, look around. Once I proved to them that I had canceled they did honor their agreement

Matt Nixon

A genuinely enjoyable bottle. The texture here is a real highlight — there’s a silkiness to it that makes it easy to drink but never flimsy. Ripe cherry comes through clearly on the palate, complemented by a warm vanilla note that adds a pleasing sweetness without overdoing it. Matt found this to be a well-rounded experience overall, and it’s hard to disagree. A very solid choice that delivers on the things that matter most: balance, drinkability, and character. Well worth seeking out.

Ken Fossett

Ken Fossett enjoyed this one, and it’s easy to see why. The nose opens with blackberry and oak, leading into a smooth, well-textured palate of berry, plum, and a touch of oak spice. It doesn’t set out to be a complex wine, and that’s perfectly fine — the flavors are clean, well-defined, and genuinely pleasing. A solid choice for an uncomplicated evening glass.

I’ve just placed my first order with Winedrops, so it’s a little early to give a full verdict — but so far, so good. The purchasing process was straightforward and the experience has been positive enough to earn a solid four stars from the outset. I’m looking forward to receiving my order and seeing whether the quality and service live up to expectations. If everything goes smoothly, I’d certainly consider becoming a returning customer. Watch this space for an updated review once I’ve had a chance to properly enjoy what I’ve ordered.

Mike Sugrue

This is a genuinely enjoyable wine that doesn’t ask too much of you. Mike found it smooth on the palate with tannins that are present but never harsh — the kind of balance that makes a bottle easy to share over a meal. The finish is clean and lingering in just the right way. His top recommendation is to pair it with red meat, and it’s hard to argue with that; something about the wine’s structure really does seem to come alive alongside a good steak or a slow-cooked roast. Four out of five — a solid choice worth returning to.

Bambi RETHFORD

Sometimes a wine just works, and this was one of those times. Bambi doesn’t elaborate much, and honestly there’s something refreshing about that — four stars and a straightforward verdict: super yummy. Not every bottle needs a lengthy dissection. This is clearly a wine that delivered real pleasure without demanding too much thought, the kind you reach for again without overthinking it. A solid, happy recommendation from a happy drinker.

Mike Sugrue

This is one of those bottles I keep coming back to — and one I genuinely love sharing with friends. There’s something satisfying about opening a wine you know will be well received, and this one consistently delivers that. It’s hard to put a finger on exactly why it works so well in a group setting, but it always seems to hit the right note. A dependable favourite that earns its place on the table every time.

Ron Beckett

Ron came in with expectations of something bold and meaty, and while this wine didn’t quite deliver on that front, it won him over nonetheless. The flavour was genuinely enjoyable throughout, and the finish left a good impression — clean and satisfying rather than abrupt. It’s perhaps a wine that rewards an open mind more than a fixed expectation. A solid four stars, and clearly worth returning to.

I haven’t been using the app for very long, so it’s still early days for me. That said, I’m almost ready to receive my first case and I’m genuinely excited to see how everything comes together. The experience so far has been promising, and I’m looking forward to exploring what Winedrops has to offer. I’ll have a much better sense of things once that first delivery arrives — watch this space!

Karin Gwin

Karin found this one genuinely easy to enjoy — smooth from the first pour to the last, with nothing harsh or jarring to get in the way. It’s the kind of wine that doesn’t demand too much of you, simply delivering a pleasant, uncomplicated experience. A solid four stars, and the sort of bottle worth returning to when you want something reliably good rather than fussy.

Larry Childs

Larry keeps it simple, and honestly there’s not much more to say. This is a wine that delivers exactly what you hope for — depth without aggression, and a smoothness that makes it easy to enjoy from the first sip to the last. Sometimes a bottle doesn’t demand analysis; it just tastes good, and that’s enough. A confident four stars from Larry, and it’s hard to argue with that verdict.
