A fun and exciting way to experience wines you are perhaps unfamiliar with I’ve spent a bit of time using the Winedrops app, and overall I find it an exciting and genuinely convenient way to buy wine. The whole thing feels smooth from the moment you open it. Browsing is quick, the layout is clean, and it encourages you to explore bottles you wouldn’t normally come across in a supermarket. That discovery element is the part I enjoy most. I’ve already found a few wines I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise, and that alone makes the app feel worth using. That said, I do have mixed feelings about some of the big discount claims. A few of the deals look amazing on the surface, but once you pause and think about the supposed “usual price,” it’s not always clear how real the saving is. There’s been outside criticism on this point too, so it’s not just me being picky. I wouldn’t call the discounts misleading across the board, but I’ve learned to take the numbers with a pinch of salt and do a quick sense-check before hitting buy. The value is still there, but it’s not always as dramatic as the headline suggests. The membership model is also something I had to settle into. You only get access to the best prices once you’re signed up, and that cost needs to be part of the mental calculation. If you buy wine regularly enough, it works out fine. If you only dip in occasionally, you might not get the full benefit. Delivery is straightforward and reliable, which helps. It’s very much a “sit on the sofa, choose something interesting, and it turns up later” experience. That sense of ease is one of the app’s strongest features. Despite the couple of reservations, I’m still positive about Winedrops. It’s simple, it’s enjoyable to use, and it makes wine-buying feel more like a little adventure rather than a chore. I like having access to bottles I don’t normally see, and the quick, app-based purchase process suits the way I shop. Even when I’m sceptical about a particular discount, I still appreciate being presented with something new and different. My summary would be this: Winedrops is convenient and fun, especially if you enjoy exploring beyond the usual supermarket choices. Just stay level-headed about the discounts and take a moment to check whether the deal feels realistic. If you do that, the app becomes a genuinely enjoyable tool for discovering new wines and keeping things interesting.

Early days but seems pretty good so far

Good wines and a bargain can be found but their returns performance is shoddy. Despite 2 duff wines being reported, no credit issued. Not what they promise.

I’ve had one or two issues navigating the site but that is probably more down to me than Winedrops. I did order 6 bottles of wine but only received 4 but I did receive credit for my loss. The wine I have had is really good and very attractively priced. If you like good wine at reasonable prices I would certainly recommend giving them a go.

Every now and again a real bargain drops and if you’re quick, you can put together a nice case of wines

I like the model , it has introduced me to wines I would not have experienced. I have had one problem with delivery but the customer service was great and I was refunded.

Wine very good quality and you pay a good price, membership reasonable. Nice to be able to put in a crate and have delivered to your door, when you require them.

I love this app but still need to do research. Some bottles are equally or more discounted elsewhere, eg the Pol Roger. Not that often though. The only wine app I’ve carried on with.

Some great wines/champagne are heavily discounted which is great. I picked up some very good deals and was given a free bottle of Whispering Angel for signing up to a three month subscription. My order was delivered promptly and hassle free. However, I feel the £6.99 delivery charge when you are paying a monthly subscription fee is a little unfair.I have decided not to continue with membership as I don’t feel the subscription cost is justified.

Easy to use App, very good quality wines, and they provide good information about the wines on offer too.My only criticism is that Winedrops can exaggerate the savings they are offering. It is always worthwhile having a Google before confirming your purchase.

Winedrops CS team is an asset- they responded within the same day + got me a solution. Their app has also come a long way in the last year, with a lot of improvements. You do need to shop around for a bargain, but there are some cool wines on there!

An interesting and varied selection of wines; many of which are not available in London. The prices are generally lower than available retail discount.

The advertised delivery was next day but they didn’t say this didn’t apply at weekends, this should be clearly explained

Some really great wines at proper discounts

For the wine I can find at Winedrops, which isn’t an exhaustive list, the price and service is really good and has helped me make significant savings when replenishing my wine cabinet.

A different marketing model with buy as you go. Generally quality wines and an opportunity to try different wines. I pay more than I used to but it’s been worth it

I ordered a case of 6 reds for only £40. The wines have been excellent so far and absolutely worth the price. Delivery was quick too.The app is not the easiest to use and is a bit clunky. Also the discounts outlined in the app can be a little misleading as the discount advertised is very often not as big if you just do some quick research online.
