Scam and the company have terrible ethics. I had no idea I was being charged a membership fee until it debited as it is hidden in the small print. I emailed customer services within 48 hrs to advise I had been charged and hadn’t meant to ‘sign up’ but was the response was to hide behind ‘our terms stipulate’ rather than just being sensible and refunding a mistake. It is sad a company can do this to you, and even sadder they think its acceptable do so. It is clear the membership funds the discount for wine. I wonder how many people get charged without actually realising it?
Interestingly the first FAQ in on their FAQ page is ‘why have I been charged?’ I wonder why.
If one hope that by writing this review someone is saved by what is frankly an underhand hidden charge masked by small print terms and conditions. Be Careful!

So not join this app!!!
I was duped into a three month membership and told I could use the menu button on the app to cancel. There is no menu button on the link I was sent. Also the ‘free’ bottle you are tempted with is actually only yours when you buy five more bottles!
Be sensible use Majestic or go to Tesco for reasonably priced wines

Absolutely horrified at the sheer lack of humanity and understanding from your ‘support’ team. I have begged with them given my extreme circumstances for a refund since I have never utilised or taken advantage of this app nor services, yet met with zero understanding.

Glad you’re offering me bottles of wine to replace my bills for the month (even provided my bank statement to prove my case). Disgusting.

Scam! Makes you subscribe for a payment you think you cancelled but they still take your money £119 that I need to pay my bills has been taken out of my account I demand a refund!!

The entire process is a scam! Even the way you are unable to move forward within your enquiry unless you submit bank details, then to find they have taken £119 for a membership I was unaware of.

Stay away!!! If you have any common sense!

Signed up on the application to see if there was anything there for my wife and I to purchase.

The subscription model to me was not clear at all! The company are refusing to refund 119.00£.

I downloaded the app but quickly realised it wasn’t for me and deleted it within minutes. Despite this, I was still charged. When I requested a refund, I was given a voucher instead—something I never asked for. I couldn’t afford this unexpected charge, and the lack of flexibility in resolving my request has been really disappointing. A full refund should be an option in cases like this. Be cautious before purchasing, as the refund process is unclear and not as straightforward as it should be.

This company ,if it actually is a company is a scam. Do not open their website as the so called free membership is designed to get people signed up and paying £119 for absolutely nothing.They refuse to refund this payment citing terms and do not confirm membership until after payment is made.

Absolute scammers. I redownloaded the app after a few years off it and was charged without any forwarning £90, and they have refused to refund despite no action on my account – no purchases, nothing. What is wrong with people? Where is the decency? I have not used the service, so don’t charge me for it.

I made a huge mistake thinking I was just browsing the website, I hadn’t realised I had signed up to an annual subscription with a 10 day trial.
Once I had realised my error that I truly couldn’t afford what was on offer on the site I removed the app within a few minutes, 10 days later I was charged the £119 subscription, which sadly is a fairly sizeable financial burden for me.
I immediately contacted explaining that I was not in the position to loose such a payment without implication appealing to their better nature, but was quickly pointed to the error being mine and there being no better nature.
It’s a great sadness that even if this is a good company, there has to be recognition that an error was made, I certainly have not made many before as I have to be extremely financially aware,
There were 4 areas which I missed apparently and I just hope that others don’t fall down the same hole I did.
It does state that if I were to contact within 24 hours something may be done I was offered a voucher and free wine which considering I wa not in a position to loose the £119 it seemed a fairly insensitive gesture.
I know the fault lies with me a 62 year old full time unpaid carer living on £81 per week I just wish I had been more observant

I recently signed up for this APP and quickly cancelled when I found out there was an annual fee of £119, which I could just not afford right now. They took the money regardless of the fact that I had never actually bought a single bottle of wine from them.

They also refused to reimburse me the charge even when I told them it was all the money that I had right now andd needed money to distract my teenage son, who I have just found out is suicidal. They did not care at all and I am heartbroken at this terrible time, that I cannot even take my son to the cinema

Tried the free trial and enjoyed the wine but didn’t think it justified the £90 subscription fee. 3 months after cancelling the free trial, I’ve just seen £90 taken out of my account and I never resubscribed! I didn’t delete the app off my phone so the only thing I can think of is maybe I accidentally opened it but at no point did a click anything to sign back up. I’ve checked my emails and had nothing about resubscribing either. I contacted customer services who refuse to give me my money back despite not signing up… terrible service, do not recommend!

I’ve had a very bad experience with wine drops in which it took me a long long time to get my subscription money back which I did not wanted??? I saw an offer to try a wine and phone to try it.when wine drops took my money for the offer they kept my bank details and then took a year subscription. I can’t even remembered if I got the wine but it took me about 6 months to get my subscription money back and now a year later they took another year subscription which I made it Cristal clear that I will not be doing any business with them even with all the offers they tried to give me as compensation. The worst thing is that I don’t even drink wine????

Absolute scam, browsed offers, clicked a tricky button on app, decided against it, deleted app, fast forward a few days my bank is debited £119 for full year membership, no warning no welcome letter received, emailed company, their response its on our terms & conditions & we don’t offer refunds not even on day 1, but not to worry they will offer me a £50 voucher off my first proper, what a scam! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I have no words to describe this massive scam. Just downloaded the app to check the real nature of their supposed deals. Didn’t like what I found and simply deleted the app. Apparently I subscribed to a free trial expiring after 10 days with an automatic charge of 119 pounds covering annual subscriptions! No welcome email, no email tracking your free trial period. It is all BS. They just sit there, after having hooked you, waiting to cash the money. They replied to one email of mine simply pasting the terms of their service and now, after I am pestering them, they simply disappeared. You are a disgrace!!!!

Do not sign up. The whole thing is a scam.

Google the wines – you can get the same prices from the likes of Sainsbury’s or Tescos.

DO NOT SIGN UP.

They also refuse refunds if you forget to stop after the free trial. Even if you didn’t use it once.

The company hides the annual charge and gives no warning as to when the money will be taken. Customer service is unhelpful and say “it’s sign posted” yet it wasn’t in any of my original emails. Complete scam!
